Mission Statement

Olivet Business School (OBS) prepares ministry-bound men and women as Biblical scholars and leaders equipped with an ability to apply knowledge and skills in the field of business for professional ministry service. A distinguished feature of the School is its curriculum, which couples an education in Biblical higher education with theoretical and hands-on business experience, including internship opportunities in professional environments.

Bachelor of Arts in Business Degree Program

The Bachelor's in Business is a four-year undergraduate degree program preparing students to contribute to a world revolutionized through Christian mission as business professionals.

The program combines core curricular studies in Bible, general education, and business with the aim of cultivating a Biblical worldview and a professional perspective in students consistent with the mission of Olivet University.

In the context of Olivet University's mission, completion of the Bachelor's in Business program will enable students to:

  • Understand economic and financial theories and their application to the business setting.
  • Understand production models and distribution systems and their roles in the value creation process.
  • Demonstrate verbal, written and presentation communication skills appropriate for business environments.
  • Exercise decision-making skills to solve business problems.
  • Reflect critically on the relationship between business and Christian faith.

Masters of Business Administration Degree Program

The OBS Master of Business Administration program is a 1-1/2 to 2 year graduate degree program that trains students as professional leaders in the field of business with a solid biblical foundation. The program provides students with the academic and practical training necessary for them to become competent and influential individuals in the field of business.

In the context of Olivet University's mission, completion of the Master of Business Administration program will enable students to:

  • Be prepared for effective Christian leadership in the field of business.
  • Relate the functional areas of business and long-range planning, implementation and control.
  • Analyze global business perspectives to find opportunities, develop strategies, solve problems in the business world.
  • Exercise the ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Articulate a biblical and theological understanding of the relationship between Christian faith and business.
