Business School to Open Operations Management Course in Winter 2016

Olivet Business School will be offering Operations Management for MBA students during Winter quarter.

This course will be led by Professor Yvette L. Smith, who has taught several popular courses including Marketing Management, Business Communication and Human Resource Management at Olivet University's San Francisco campus.

Operations Management will emphasize the fundamentals of product creation, production and distribution, development as well as quality control, supply chain management, information system, logistic and analysis of the production process.

Students are expected to acquire knowledge and skills to manage the production of goods and services efficiently and to learn successful business strategies for quality management and operations, all of which will help them become influential business leaders in the 21st century.

Dr. Smith has 15 years of working experience and eight years of teaching under her belt. She has been an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University, School of Business since 2007. Dr. Smith teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses that combine theory and real-world practical experience, which prepare students for professional careers in a broad range of business fields.
